Job Classification


Nonexempt Staff positions are classified into pay grades using a point-factor system. Human Resources is responsible for coordinating and administering this system through an independent Job Evaluation Committee made up of a cross-section of campus constituencies. Supervisors and staff are encouraged to become familiar with this process and notify HR when a decision is made to create a new position or when significant job function changes occur.
