SPECIAL BENEFITS AND SERVICES

8.1 ATHLETIC FACILITIES

Staff, their family members and guests are entitled to the use of the El Pomar Sports Center such as tennis courts, pool, gymnasium, weight rooms, track and other facilities. I.D. cards are required to gain admission to the facilities and are available through the Gold Card Office.

8.2 BOOKSTORE DISCOUNT

All employees of the College are encourage to shop and use the services of the Colorado College bookstore. A discount of 10% is given only on in-store books. Staff may charge purchases to their employee charge account.

8.3 CAMPUS MAIL

Staff may use the Worner Center mail facility to purchase stamps, send parcels, mail international letters and packages or use outgoing express services. Postal transactions can be paid by cash, check, Colorado College ID or charged to your staff charge account. Personal mail received with the College's address is considered business correspondence and may be opened, so all Staff are encouraged to receive personal mail at home.

Since Colorado College is a not-for-profit organization and has tax exempt status, we are prohibited by law from using campus mail for the distribution of political campaign materials.

8.4 CHECK CASHING

Personal checks of up to $250 may be cashed at the cashier's window the Business Office in Armstrong Hall with a valid Colorado College I.D. Card.

8.5 CHILDREN'S CENTER

Colorado College has a child care center which provides high quality early childhood education programs for the young children of the College community. In a safe and nurturing environment, the Center promotes the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of your children. The program is accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children. For information on availability and rates, call the Children's Center at 389-6764.

8.6 ESCORT SERVICE

Employees are encouraged to call for an escort if they work after dark or on weekends, holidays or come to work very early. Call Security at Ext. 6707.

8.7 IDENTIFICATION CARD

All full-time, part-time and on call Staff will be issued a Colorado College identification card which allows them and their dependents access to the Library, College athletic facilities, equipment and tickets for campus events. This I.D. card may also be used for debit purchases with the Gold Card Plus Account and vending services at select snack and drink machines. Please contact the Gold Card Office for additional information.

8.8 LIBRARY PRIVILEGES

College staff are invited to use Tutt Library. A Colorado College I.D. card is required. Contact the library for information regarding available services.

8.9 LOST AND FOUND

Lost or found articles should be reported to Worner Campus Center information desk. Lost or found keys should be reported immediately to Security.

8.10 PARKING

Colorado College parking stickers are required by students, faculty and staff for all vehicles operated on campus. Vehicles must be registered at Facilities Services within one week after arrival. Parking areas are designated for authorized vehicles with proper stickers. Parking and traffic regulation booklets are available at Facilities Services.
